Funding Coordinator – West and Central Africa
Finn Church Aid (FCA) is seeking a talented Regional Funding Coordinator for its West and Central Africa Regional Office - comprising Liberia, Sierra Leone, CAR and DRC – to diversify its funding from institutional and corporate donors and to meet donor expectations in compliance with agreements. The successful candidate will be posted to any one of the countries of operation (negotiable) and will be expected to travel extensively between them.
This strategic post is newly created for the recently established regional office and the incumbent will be part of the regional management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting synergy and coordination across FCA’s cross-cutting and rights based approach themes – education, livelihoods and peace – when developing the funding strategy and funding action plans for the region. S/he will actively support the Regional Representative to ensure that the West and Central Africa staff progress against their strategic directions measuring progress against targets, and be flexible in adjusting the strategy as appropriate to ensure that FCA remains relevant and effective across the region. S/he will represent FCA West and Central Africa as assigned including programme and technical representation with donors.
The successful candidate will have a tenacity to cooperate and coordinate closely with a wide range of teams and units from head office to the country office level to ensure the development of high quality applications and reports. S/he will coordinate the established processes for proposal development, centralizing applications, financial and programmatic reporting, and data management. S/he will also have capacity to train the West and Central Africa Office and partner staff to develop funding applications and reports, and donor requirements in implementation.
You will have:
• Proven track record in securing funds from institutional donors and corporates.
• At least 5 years professional related experience.
• Strong knowledge and experience of humanitarian and development sector.
• Highly fluent in English and French language skills.
• Proven problem solving and strategic planning capability with creative skills.
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure

The candidate will have ample room to be creative and lead on new funding streams in coordination with the Regional Representative. This is not a family duty station.
