Manager: Planning

PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
The Planning Manager will be responsible for development of plans of the Corporation and its subsidiaries. He/she shall prepare, maintain and review short and long term plans in conformity with corporate objectives.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares, maintains and reviews short and long term plans of the directorate in conformity with corporate objectives;
Compiles, maintains and coordinates review of short and long term plans for Corporation and its subsidiaries in conformity with corporate objectives;
Compiles project appraisals and financing plans;
Ensures the collection and handling of planning data and statistical indices and other economic indicators necessary for planning function;

Analyses and compile reports on the performance of the development programmes, projects and action plans;
Provide inputs in preparation of plans and budget including establishment of performance targets and indicators;
Carries out periodical budget performance review and advise accordingly;
In collaboration with the Revenue and Expenditure mangers to provide guidance and facilitate formulation and preparation of Medium
Term Strategic Plans, Budgets and budget speech;
Coordinates mid-year and annual performance reviews;
Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by superiors

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Direct Entry Qualifications:
Holder of a Master's Degree in Economics, Finance or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

WORKING EXPERIENCE
At least 10 years' experience of which 3 years must be at senior level. Proven high administrative and managerial ability in the oil industry and knowledge of international oil business is essential.
