Greenpeace needs to grow our movement, mobilise our millions of supporters, and engage new audiences to help us solve the multiple environmental challenges our planet faces.
We are looking for a rare talent to fill the role of Head of First Engagement at Greenpeace International. The First Engagement team works with our national offices to establish and improve relationships with supporters of all kinds: cyber-activists, donors, petition signers, volunteers and more, by delivering training, support, and strategic leadership.
You will lead an awesome team of people with different skills and backgrounds in mobilization, fundraising and communication. Together we help the national offices grow Greenpeace as a movement and rally people all over the globe to our cause.
What you must demonstrate:
· Leadership. You will be leading a team of five talented individuals scattered across all timezones, so excellent leadership skills, the ability to motivate, inspire, lead by example and delegate are essential. Equally important is the ability to create a strong and trusting team spirit, both in person and through fiberoptic cables.
· Ability to work seamlessly in cross-border, multicultural teams. Ability to gain trust and command respect on all levels of an organisation. Excellent collaboration skills with peers, staff and management
· Experience bringing about positive changes in work culture, practices and performance, leading and supporting others to achieve their potential.
· Deep understanding of a range of mobilization, fundraising, direct marketing techniques and engagement principles. Understanding of areas such as mass mobilization and social media management, direct dialogue, digital and mobile technologies and communications, lead generation, telemarketing and data management.
· Strong analytical skills, ability to work to tight deadlines, and willingness to travel frequently.
