Business Controller - Southern Africa
The role
To generate monthly management reports, analyse financial information and provide commentary of results to management, budgets and forecasts of Southern Africa Sales Area. To take full responsibility of the Income Statement and understand variances on the income statement and all balance sheet accounts related to the Sales Area. To take responsibility for accurate reporting on BPC of the Southern Africa Sales Area Income Statement and Balance sheet Accounts. To be involved financially in the operations at Management level with information required,as well as work together with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting and improvement in internal controls in the Sales Area Business.

  • Operational / Financial Accounting: Profitability Analysis. EQ Jobs and Stock Management
  • Financial Accounting and Processing in Aurora, BPC,Monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
  • Systems and Processes for Mining, Inventory management, Debtors, Invoicing, GIT, Budgets
  • Forecasting and Financial planning
  • Commercially minded with strong analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work logically, consistently and accurately
  • Excellent numeracy skills combined with an inquiring, analytical mind
  • Good working knowledge of accounting information, while keeping up to date with changing financial rules and regulations
  • Ability to discuss financial issues with both fellow professionals and those with little or no financial background.
  • Self-motivated and excellent time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer literacy - MS Excel is a must.
Your profile
Matric, with B Com Hons in Accounting/ CIMA /CA
5 years Management and Financial accounting experience, 5 years experience in setting up internal control policies and procedures. 5 years' experience in Managing inventory system, budgets and forecasts, computer literacy.
Valid driver's license is essential
