Civil Engineer
Capital Development Authority is a Parastatal Organization under the Prime Minister's Office
whose main functions include;
Implementing the decision to transfer the Capital of Tanzania to Dodoma.
Prepare plans for the development of Dodoma as the Capital of Tanzania.
Carry out and effect necessary development so as render Dodoma suitable for the Capital of Tanzania.
Wish to immediately fill the following vacant posts:-
Civil Engineer II - 1 Post
Qualifications.
A BSe. in Engineering Degree/Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Prepare tender documents;
(ii) To work as part of multi - disciplinary team and liaising with Architects and
Quantity Surveyors;
(iii) To supervise projects under construction and ensure proper - choice of materials and equipment;
(iv) Responsible for analysis and design of structural elements in proposed structure, taking into account such factors as estimated load, with pressure, wind resistance and nature of building materials to be used;
(v) Preparation of technical specifications for building constructions and civil works
(vi) Preparation of working drawings for building construction and civil works
(vii) To prepare project briefs and specification notes;
(viii) Establish appropriate engineering standards, prepare engineering concept design and provide strong engineering leadership in the design of all projects;
(ix) To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Civil Engineer from time to time.
Salary Scale: CDASS 7
