Appointment of Director of the UK and Ireland

Climate-KIC is the EU’s largest public private partnership addressing climate change through innovation to build a low carbon economy. We address climate change across four priority themes: (i) Urban Transitions, (ii) Sustainable Production Systems, (iii) Metrics, Finance and Decision-making and (iv) Climate Smart Land Use.  We are seeking to appoint a Director of the UK and Ireland.
Reporting to the CEO s/he will be accountable for building a strong climate innovation ecosystem for leading academic, business and public organisations across the UK and Ireland. As a member of the Executive Team s/he will be responsible for two offices: London Co-Location Centre (CLC) and Birmingham Regional Innovation Community (RIC) as well as supporting the Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS) in Ireland. The successful candidate will be an experienced manager with expertise in personnel, budgeting and financial administration and project management experience of innovation initiatives. Assuming overall management of the Innovation Framework, s/he will have experience of working within the UK and Ireland innovation landscape and will be responsible for building an ecosystem of diverse partners around innovation delivery while championing cross-location collaboration and teamwork with other location leaders.

This is a three-year assignment and is based in the UK. Remuneration will be consistent for a leadership role in this sector. This position is being advertised both internally and externally.
