Appointment of Thematic Directors

Climate-KIC is the EU’s largest public private partnership addressing climate change through innovation to build a low carbon economy. We address climate change across four priority themes: (i) Urban Transitions, (ii) Sustainable Production Systems, (iii) Metrics, Finance and Decision-making and (iv) Climate Smart Land Use.  We are seeking to appoint Directors of these four thematic areas.
Reporting to the CEO, each Thematic Director owns the strategy, development and implementation of the theme in close coordination with Climate-KIC partners. From an agreed set of priorities, the Directors sets the challenges to be addressed by the theme, defines their degree of maturity and order of priority. As a member of the Executive team each Director will be a credible leader in their thematic area and will be well connected to organisations and stakeholders of the sector(s) with expertise in personnel, budgeting and financial administration and project management experience from major academic and/or industrial undertakings.

This is a three-year assignment. Remuneration will be consistent for a leadership role in this sector. The appointee can be based at any of the six Co-Location Centres (Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland or UK). Terms and conditions will depend on location.
