Information Management Specialist

Purpose of the role
This role which has a focus on information retention in Diageo’s critical systems is within Diageo’s Global Records and Information Management Team, who are within the GDBS Information Management and Security Team and are responsible for executing Diageo’s Records and Information Management.
Duties
•Provide subject matter expertise to all Diageo business units to ensure cost effective and compliant management of information within Diageo’s information systems
•Identify information retention requirements for Diageo’s most critical information systems
•Work with information owners to develop processes to effectively retain information in Diageo’s key systems
•Where necessary, assist in the development of processes to ensure information is retained and deleted properly
•On an annual basis, review processes to ensure compliance
•Work with functional contacts to maintain list and coordinate training sessions to further protect critical information
•Work with Legal to understand legal hold requirements, and identify relevant data in Diageo systems for the purposes of preservation
Requirements
•College or University degree in IT or Business and Management
•Professional qualification in Records & Information Management with appropriate experience with a complex, commercial context
•High level English both written and verbal is mandatory
•Able to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team
•Able to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels and influencing senior stakeholders
•Innovative and flexible approach with the ability to prioritise large and diverse work programme, resolve problems and respond appropriately to opportunities and demands
•Good interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, adapting style to circumstances
•Experience in effective employee education and change management initiatives
•Experience in applying IT skills and understanding current technologies, practices and trends relevant to records and information management
