Sandvik Mining and Construction Oy’s Tampere plant is a global technology and manufacturing center for mining equipment. Tampere Production Unit Business Control team is now looking for a pro-active and energetic Assistant Controller. The position is temporary until the end of January 2018.
Key performance areas
As Assistant Controller you are responsible for producing accurate and reliable finance information of the Tampere plant operations together with the whole Production Unit Business Control team. In this role, you will interact with key stakeholders in Supply, Product Areas, as well as Business Control and Central Accounting functions. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Control and support for Production Unit's inventories, including e.g. Inventory valuation and allocations. Inventory controls, and stock take follow-up.
  • Managing month end closing tasks according to the global closing schedule. Preparation of accruals and journal entries, making analysis. Invoice booking control
  • Supporting forecasting, budgeting and monthly reporting processes
  • Supporting in other financial analysis, business activity reports and ad hoc tasks.
  • Accounting systems / base information updates & controlling
  • Proactively making recommendations to further automate and improve processes within the area
  • Final job description will be adjusted according to candidate's skills and experience.
Your profile
You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related area, along with two to five years’ experience in business / cost accounting and reporting function. You preferably have previous work experience in international manufacturing environment and knowledge of local GAAP and/or IFRS is a merit. You possess excellent Excel skills and have experience in financial systems, e.g: BPC, Hyperion, Cognos or Qlikview, and ERP systems SAP, System 21 or Lean ERP.
