GLOBAL INVENTORY AND SUPPLY PLANNER

Sandvik Machining Solutions (SMS) is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a global market-leading manufacturer of tools and tooling systems for advanced industrial metal cutting. Products are manufactured in cemented carbide and other hard materials such as diamond, cubic boron nitride and special ceramics. The Supply Chain Planning Tools department Round Tools & Tools, within Supply Chain Management, is responsible for the supply of tools for SMS distribution centers worldwide, as well as for providing process support within the areas of inventory control and production planning. The main challenges for the department are to take full process responsibility for planning and, as a line responsibility, improve customer service such as stock availability, at the same time as the Net Working Capital is improved, meeting Net Working Capital targets.
We are now looking for an experienced Global Inventory and Supply Planner to our team of five coworkers. With us, you can gain a broad understanding of Sandvik Coromant’s production and product strategies.
Key performance areas
In this role, you are responsible for planning and inventory control for assigned production units. You act as the contact person for the production units with respect to production planning and systems, processes and other issues. Optimizing supply paths in collaboration with other departments within Machining Solutions, supporting the handling of our products’ life cycles within the planning area, and creating follow-up information and reports to facilitate your own and others’ decision making, are some of your tasks. Furthermore, you participate in, as well as you may lead various business projects.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor’s in Logistics. Experience in production planning, as well as materials and inventory control are important, as is a strong affinity for figures and data. You have interest or knowledge within ERP-Systems and Excel/Access, while experience of supply issues is advantageous. Certification in +CPIM level 1 (The APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management Program) is also much preferred in this role. As we operate in a global setting, your English skills must be excellent, both written and verbal.
