Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology (SMRT) is a leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service, technical solutions for the mining and construction industry. Our offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling and materials handling.
The Account Manager will be responsible for the promotion, sales and support of Sandvik Mining products offered to obtain maximum revenue, profitability and market share by building long-term customer relationships. The successful candidate will be based in Lively, Ontario and will be responsible for providing coverage in the Sudbury Area.
Key Performance Areas
We are looking for a progressive and capable individual to: identify customer account opportunities in order to build long-term customer relationships, drive the execution of account plans, and develop sales opportunities for Sandvik Mining product lines within key customer accounts. The Account Manager must also be able to develop local account plans, achieve budgeted revenue and comply with Sandvik Mining safety policies and applicable government, customer and industry regulations/requirements.
Qualifications
  • University Degree (or two year college diploma) in Business/Marketing or Technical Diploma is preferred or equivalent demonstrated technical knowledge/experience
  • Minimum five (5) years proven sales experience within the mining industry
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Ability to build high trust relationships with internal and external customers
  • Excellent communication skills; including written, verbal, and interpersonal
  • Results-oriented, demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and work in a global structure
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
