We are now looking for a GA Accountant to perform and coordinate general accounting activities between Country Finance, Business and the Service Provider. Sandvik Mining & Construction Logistics have a revenue of €1.1 billion and deal with high volumes of transactions from all over the world. You will work closely with our finance service provider in India who carry out some of transactional tasks. You will report to the Country Accounting Services Manager and communicate with them and our stakeholders on a regular basis. You will be required to meet tight deadlines whilst building strong relationships with your customers. The Sandvik Mining & Construction Logistics office is located in the heart of Dublin city centre.
Job Summary
In this challenging role you will take ownership for the completion of the Country Accounting Services month end process. In addition, you will support the finance service provider throughout the month end close. You will prepare non rule based journal entries and period end adjustments. You will manage intangibles, fixed asset and inventory accounting and ensure that Business Process Outsourcing procedures are kept up to date. You will be responsible for supporting Business Area and Country Finance in the GA process and coordinate GA related matters with the Service Provider in conjunction with the CAS Manager. You will manage and lead liaison on annual external and internal audits and prepare process documentation. You will review, arrange and report insurance cover and prepare and submit annual statutory accounts and regulatory reports.
Your profile
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/Degree in Finance) with specific work experience in general accounting, preferably in a large global company. You will need strong time management skills, an analytical approach and a disciplined working attitude, even under high pressure. You will have excellent communication skills and be a team player. You will be pro-active, customer service driven and be able to solve problems.
