We are now looking for a Project Engineer to provide a technical service to a range of Key Customer Accounts in the Aerospace industry in order to assist overall market share development.
Job summary
A strong engineer with an understanding of sales, you willassemble and endorse tooling packages to end user customers in the Aerospace industry by applying the product in the most economical way, taking into consideration productivity, profitability and value for the customers. You will generate profitable sales, increase market share, build a platform to defend existing business and introduce new products. An excellent communicator you will drive continuous improvement activities within customer facilities; maintaining business relations with customers and partners alike, to ensure that customer relationships are developed and improved at Area level. An inclusive team player, you will work closely with colleagues within your cluster, as well as customers, and provide technical feedback to Head Office, Product Specialists and customers alike. An efficient record keeper and innovative thinker, you will analyse the customers’ current processes and deliver new and improved process solutions.
You will be based at one of our customers’ facilities and will be expected to travel to one or two key customers within the North East region.
Your profile
You are qualified to HNC/HND or equivalent in Production/Mechanical Engineering and have a comprehensive knowledge of the application of cutting tools within the engineering machining industry and experience working with advanced machining methodology. You are knowledgeable in aero-engine manufacture and machining heat resistant alloys and are familiar with key Aerospace materials. You possess a thorough understanding of modern advanced manufacturing processes/technologies and are knowledgeable of large Aerospace components with regards toengineering component stress, tolerance and surface finish requirements. You have an awareness of the Value Selling concept and have strong presentation abilities. You have excellent communication skills, have an aptitude for building relationships and are passionate about customer satisfaction. You have sound project management skills and are computer literate with proficiencies in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and e-mail.
You Have a sound knowledge of the Coromant product portfolio and their applications and an in depth knowledge of CAD/CAM systems and programming.
