TAX CONTROLLER
Sandvik Magyarorszag Kft. seeks a suitable candidate for the position of:
TAX CONTROLLER
The role
Support Group and the business in Tax related issues including Direct & Indirect Taxes and filings, Transfer Pricing and Compliance requirements. Perform in house General Accounting / Fixed Asset activities within country. To manage the Treasury operation in Hungary and in line with Group Treasury policies and instructions. This includes coordinating treasury matters for all legal entities in the country.
Key responsibilities
- Advise business on Direct & indirect Tax related matters
- Approve journal entries related to tax accounting requirements, e.g. depreciation, inventory valuations, deferred taxes, tax provisions, invoice processing, payments etc.
- Prepare, analyze and file tax returns
- Attend Tax audits, data gathering, data analysis and preparing draft reply
- Inform Group about Tax audit and outcomes
- Follow up Transfer Pricing (TP) documentation for Goods, Group Service Fees, Royalty, Transfer Pricing corrections and Transfer Pricing Compliance (Prepare and contact with external TP service provider.
- Identify Tax risks and suggest mitigating activities
- Provide training for Country organization / Business Areas on Tax matters
- Monitor changes in regulations related to taxes, understand implications for business operations and compliance obligations in the country, communicate changes/action plan to required stakeholders and ensure that changes are applied consistently across potentially impacted BAs
- Establish, monitor and follow up on internal controls related to tax
- Maintain records of all indirect tax positions, issues, and discussions with Tax Authorities
- File Tax returns
Your profile, required experience and skills
- 5-7 years relevant work experience with specific experience in Tax, transactional accounting, reporting, compliance
- 2 years relevant professional education
- Excellent knowledge of tax management
- Proven skills of teamwork
- Effective communication
- Analytical thinking
- Proven knowledge of Financial Risk Management, Cash Management, Financial reporting
- Basic skills of managing organizational change
- Communicative Level of English
