GLOBAL PLANNING MANAGER FOR INSERTS

In the Planning of Inserts department within Sandvik Coromant Production we are responsible for the supply planning of inserts for Sandvik Coromant’s distribution centers worldwide, as well as providing process support within the areas of inventory control and supplier planning. Our main challenges are to take full process responsibility for planning and, as a line responsibility, improve customer service (stock availability) at the same time as the net working capital is improved. We are now looking for a Global Planning Manager for Inserts, to build interesting global networks, with the opportunity to form your career possibilities and influence the strategic work within supply.
Key performance areas
As Global Planning Manager for Inserts, you lead and develop your team of five coworkers and are responsible for the planning and inventory control of inserts supply. You work in close contact with the Insert Production Management team and the global suppliers of inserts. Organizing, leading and prioritizing the work to reach the targets set by Sandvik Coromant regarding service levels and net working capital are some of your responsibilities. You also participate in the development and implementation of the Sandvik Coromant Planning strategy, and you optimize supply paths in collaboration with other departments within Sandvik Machining Solutions (SMS). Furthermore, you participate in and lead various business projects, both within the Sandvik Coromant Planning organization and cross-functionally within SMS, and you are the contact point for the inserts production units with respect to inventory control, production planning and related process/systems.
This role requires 10-12 weeks of international traveling per year, and you are also a member of the Sandvik Coromant Planning Management team.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in logistics or equivalent knowledge gained through experience. You have extensive experience as a successful Line Manager or Project Manager, and experience from a leading position within the logistics area. Experience from SMS within supply chain processes, inventory control, finance or production planning is advantageous, as is involvement as a member of a management group. As we operate in a global setting, your English skills are excellent, both written and verbal.
