Communication Coordinator

Responsibilities:
Provide guidance on communications to assist the Advocacy team and other departments to represent IDF at the highest level with strategic partners, opinion leaders and other relevant stakeholders (external media, international organisations) to promote a positive image of the Federation, and further the development of its interests while building and developing the reputation of IDF.
  • Help implement and deliver communication campaigns across departments to ensure that IDF speaks as one voice.
  • Support the production and distribution of publications and other communication materials (Annual Report, quarterly magazine (Diabetes Voice), newsletters and e-alerts
  • Create and produce content for IDF projects to enable consistent and coherent messaging on diabetes and IDF.
  • Help coordinate online communications (website, social media), in collaboration with the Senior Coordinator, to ensure consistency of messaging across all channels. .
  • Provide communications support to IDF events and activities such as the IDF Congress.
  • Coordinate relations with media to enhance the reputation of IDF and increase the exposure of IDF.
  • Represent IDF events at external events where required.
  • Provide communications support to other departments as required.
Skills and Competences:
  • A proven track record of minimum 5 years in deploying a wide range of communications tools
  • Experience in coordinating communication and marketing campaigns
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Fluency in other languages such as French and Spanish is an asset
