Key Performance Areas
This role is responsible for the estimating function for manufacturing of conveyor component parts, for both Aftermarket spares and project tenders, in the Asia Pacific region. This includes assessing capabilities for internal and subcontract works, calculating material costs and labour times, and compiling quotations for parts (pulleys, rolls, frames, and accessories) in accordance with the client and internal Data/Drgs/Specifications.
The Role includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities;
  • All employees and workers are required to conduct themselves in accordance with our EHS Vision to achieve Zero Harm to; our people, the environment we work in, our customers and our suppliers.
  • Oversee the Estimating Department and function in the absence of the Manager.
  • Evaluate drawings, specifications, engineering data, inspection & test plans.
  • Prepare estimate schedule and quotation in accordance with scope of work.
  • Assist with bills of materials take-offs as required for sourcing and part setup.
  • Assist Drawing office and Technical Support Desk as required.
  • Liaises with Production & Sourcing to incorporate updates in the estimating tools, for Labour times, Material costs and production/product method changes.
  • Contribute to Part Setup (Bill of Materials) team function.
Your Profile
The successful applicant will have manufacturing/production experience with fabricated parts and preferably possess a Trade or Technical Background.
Experiencein costing, estimating, Bill of Material data entry experience, Mining & Construction industry and Conveyor product exposure, Pronto or CAPP software exposure, would be a distinct advantage.
You will have exceptional organizational and time management skills with the desire to change and grow within a successful global company, as well as be task focused with strong communication and interpersonal skills with problem solving abilities. The successful candidate must be computer literate, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
