Within our Brussels office, our Healthcare team consists of 6 full-time consultants advising a range of organizations including blue-chip international healthcare companies, health associations and campaigning charities. The team helps the healthcare industry tell its story at an EU level. Addressing regulatory challenges through integrated public affairs and communications campaigns, we work with companies and organizations to condition the policy environment to ensure patients have access to treatment and policymakers understandthe burden of specific diseases on the patient, the economy and society.
 
The Position
 
We are looking for a senior public affairs and communications professional, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience and deep expertise in the healthcare sector, to lead this practice. The successful candidate will direct a number of communications and advocacy programs, and work in close partnership with clients as a trusted advisor. He/she will proactively develop and initiate new business opportunities both in Brussels and as part of our Global Healthcare practice. This position will provide an opportunity for teaming with senior industry practitioners, and for broad sectoral experience and growth. 
 
Experience & skills required: 
 
  • An established track record of work experience relating to EU level pharmaceutical and consumer health areas
  • An experienced senior level advisor and team leader 
  • Experience in a consultancy is an advantage 
  • Understanding of client business operations (beyond communications) 
  • Dynamic team player and able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to offer high-level advice on the spot
  • Excellent writing and verbal communications skills; fluency in English a must
