POSITION
Senior Inventory Process Owner
INTRODUCTION
Global Inventory Management is responsible for all parts inventory and buying globally (Front and Back Lines)
Main responsibilities are:
  • Parts Inventory Management (SMCL and SA)
  • Parts buying (external and internal suppliers, global and local)
  • Operational performance and process ownership (Buying and Inventory Management)
SCOPE
This role is accountable for Inventory processes design, implementation and performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
General
Strong focus on safety is a must, in planning and implementing the regional business infrastructure in line with Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology’s EHS policies, procedures and objective at all times.
Direct management responsibility
Process Design
  • Collect, identify and prioritize Inventory process improvement opportunities
  • Collect, identify, prioritize and coordinate IT demand for Inventory process developments; Oversee and validate the design of minor process changes
  • Develop and document global processes for inventory operations
Process Implementation and Process performance management
  • Coordinate deployment of key inventory processes and tools
  • Develop and publish dashboards and KPIs for global inventory team
  • Set KPIs and targets. Measure process performance. Lead process audits.
Networking and Benchmarking
  • Study industry best practices and continuously bench mark processes to industry best in class processes
  • Develop ad hoc analysis for global inventory team
  • Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders
RELATIONSHIPS AND AUTHORITY
Reports to: OPPER (Operational performance) manager
Liaises with: Regional Inventory managers
Material Management lead
Regional Logistics Operations Managers
OPPER team
Parts and Service BLMs
IT organisation
External contacts: IMS provider
COMPETENCE PROFILE
  • Must have experience of working with cross cultural workgroups
  • Significant change management experience
  • Experience in coaching and training in the subject matter
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Highly proficient in analysis and data management
  • Highly developed influencing and presentation skills
  • Good working knowledge of English, and ability to travel.
QUALIFICATION
  • Tertiary qualification in Logistics Supply Chain Management or relevant industry
  • Inventory Management experience
  • Supply Chain Management experience

Dublin
