Working with project management, at the department of Systems and Plans, within BU Stationary Crushing and Screening, our goal is to lead and manage various projects to ensure a high-quality delivery according to project objectives and the guidelines of Sandvik’s Project Model.We are now looking for two Senior Project Managers to join us, and we offer you great possibilities to lead complex projects and interact in an international environment, where your previous project management skills are of great importance for our future success. The location for these positions is, preferably, in Svedala, Sweden.
Job Summary
As a Senior Project Manager, it is your responsibility to plan, organize, monitor, execute and control our projects, in order to achieve delivery on time, according to given cost and within specified scope and quality. You create and develop project plans, follow up on project status, and allocate and secure relevant resources and determine how to utilize their competence in best possible ways. By using effective communication, you manage changes in the project scope and identify dependencies, risks and opportunities, and you benchmark with external companies to find improvements.
Additional responsibilities of your job are to lead and motivate the project team and to mentor and coach other project managers. You are also accountable for handing over projects to the receiving organization and take an active part in developing our project model and methods.
International travel is required in this position.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with at least eight years’ experience from working with project management and who has a degree within an area relevant for the position. You have extensive knowledge and experience from managing large and complex construction projects for the mining and construction industry, delivering sustainable industrial facilities. As an internationally experienced project manager you are used to being part of, and leading, cross-cultural teams and managing widespread stakeholders via clear communication. As we operate in a global setting, you need to have excellent skills in English, verbally and in writing, while knowledge of Swedish is advantageous.
