VACANCY – CREATIVE & SOCIAL MEDIA OFFICER
Our client is a market leader in the production of very fast moving products in the FMCG sector. Based just outside Nairobi, the Company wishes to recruit a dynamic individual to fill the above position.

Purpose
Creative adoption and translation of the Company’s traditional business and marketing audio-visual efforts for online channels and audiences using graphic, creative writing, new media, social platforms and distribution channels. Management of online brand image.
Responsibilities

Working with the E-Commerce Manager the job holder will :
• Design, create and manage the execution of the company’s online business strategies.
• Create brand awareness online.
• Oversee origination of concepts, designs, themes and upholding visual identity of the Company’s products and brands. This will require creative thinking to produce new ideas and concepts that leverage the Company’s online image with its overall corporate ethos.
• Be responsible for integrating the Company’s marketing communication with web 2.0. The holder will be expected to suggest viable social media platforms for various campaigns and monitoring impact (Social Media Marketing). These include Facebook, Twitter, blogs, Flickr, YouTube, My Space, LinkedIn, Delicous, Tumblr, etc
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies, new media and channels to sell the Company’s brands.
• Manage online brand and reputation management (supervision of online look & feel, appearance and awareness). Monitoring publics, making sure correct information is available to the right audiences as and when required.
• Preserve consistency of the Company’s online communication while ensuring that all branded materials express the most effective and recognizable company message.
• Constantly monitoring the website, internet/web trends and advising Management on best way forward (in conjunction with the e-Commerce Manager).
• Advising management on the need for new imagery and assisting with getting the right quality. Maintaining the image library.
• Creating an e-newsletter to assist in pushing the Company’s brands’ agenda(s).
• Creating and monitoring an e-system of regular information dissemination, e.g. e-shots.
