Through the encouragement of outstanding leadership and governance, the Mo Ibrahim Foundation is committed to enhancing the social and economic prospects of the people of Africa.

In support of these objectives, the Foundation has created and is funding the Ibrahim Index of African Governance and the Ibrahim Prize for Achievement in African Leadership, among other initiatives. The Foundation aims to stimulate the debate around good governance across the continent and beyond. The Foundation is to appoint its first Director of Communications, based in the London headquarters, to develop and deliver the Foundation’s communications strategy, supporting and complementing its principal goals. Working with the Foundation leadership, this individual will present the voice of the Foundation.

The successful candidate will have an expert and intimate knowledge of the political landscape and regional media in Africa. They will be able to articulate complex and sensitive issues with flair and precision. A demonstrable interest in African current affairs, political savvy and a collaborative mindset will be prerequisites.
