Head of Technical Services

Job Summary
  • Overall responsibility for the smooth running and maintenance of all broadcasting equipment and other related electronic equipment at Hope FM.
  • Ensure that all broadcasting equipment is kept in good working condition and is maintained in excellent condition to support uninterrupted FM broadcasting.
  • Carry out regular checks on broadcasting sites with an objective of preempting avoidable downtimes.
  • Ensure all technical statutory and operational requirements are adhered to per government regulations.
  • Liaise with Service providers and ensure quality service is rendered as per service contracts.
  • Prepare Technical department budgets.
  • Advise management on the purchase of new equipment and replacements of broadcasting and other electronic equipment.
  • Manage the installation of new equipment and software.
  • Ensure technical faults are diagnosed and that appropriate repairs are carried out in a timely manner.
  • Perform any other duties & responsibilities that may be assigned by the management.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • A Born Again Christian who subscribes to CITAM statement of Faith.
  • Bachelor’s degree Electrical & Electronic Engineering or BSC. Telecommunications or First degree in Math’s or Physics with Diploma in Electronics or Broadcasting.
  • Or Higher National Diploma in electrical and electronics engineering with knowledge in computer hardware and software networking plus 4 years working experience in a busy environment.
  • CCNA, MCSE, CCNP or any other professional certification will be an added advantage.
  • Technically talented, diligent, self-motivated, honest and hard working
  • A minimum of two years experience in a similar position is essential.
