URGENT: Part-Time Research Coordinator

ICF International, a diversified professional services and consulting firm, seeks a Research Coordinator to assist with an impact evaluation study of an educational program in Bolivia. The Research Coordinator will be a part-time consultant who will serve as a liaison between ICF International’s staff based in the Washington, DC area, the Bolivia-based education project, and a team of data collectors who will be working in the indigenous villages served by the project. The Research Coordinator will have responsibility for traveling with the data collectors to oversee their activities and report and correct any problems that arise during the study.

The individual selected for this position will have a strong background, preferably including graduate training, in economics, sociology, anthropology, political science, or other social science discipline. Strong familiarity with evaluation research methodologies, including quantitative surveys and randomized controlled trials, is required. He or she must be available to participate in enumerator training in mid-March 2011 and to travel to project villages starting in early April to coordinate baseline data collection. Availability to assist with follow-up data collection activities later in 2011 or in 2012 is also preferred. Facility with spoken and written Spanish is required. Some knowledge of spoken indigenous languages (e.g. Guaraní) is desirable.
