A key advisory role on energy and development issues, advising African and EU institutions, driving the development of the Africa-EU Renewable Energy Cooperation Programme.

The EUEI Partnership Dialogue Facility (EUEI PDF) is funded by some EU Member States and the European Commission to help formulate policies and strategies for energy access with a main focus on Africa. It also supports the Africa-EU Energy Partnership, both on expert level as well as on the level of political dialogue. The EUEI PDF is hosted by GIZ, the German Federal Government's agency for international cooperation.

The EUEI PDF has been tasked with developing a 10-year Africa-EU Renewable Energy Cooperation Programme and with coordinating and managing its 3-year start-up phase. As a Project Manager (m/f), you will play a key role in this process. This is an opportunity to join a lively multidisciplinary and international team, helping to establish a new level of Africa-EU cooperation on renewable energy.

You will require good communication and negotiation skills, experience and understanding of development issues in energy in Africa. Politically and culturally sensitive, you are able to think on your feet and make sound judgements on project viability.

The successful candidate will be hired by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Germany.
