Team Leader, German contribution to Providing for Health (P4H) – Social Health Protection Initiative

Area of activity
Providing for Health (P4H) is the global social health protection initiative currently involving Germany, France, the World Health Organization(WHO), the International Labour Organization (ILO), the World Bank and Switzerland. GIZ is supporting the coordination of the network and providing Germany‘s technical contributions on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Tasks
In close consultation with the BMZ and the German Senior Coordinator of P4H, based in Geneva, you will manage Germany‘s technical inputs to the initiative. These include providing advice to the BMZ as the commissioning party and to support policy, strategy, technical cooperation and capacity development in partner countries; as well as coordinating these contributions with other P4H partners and other implementing organisations of German Development Cooperation. Requirements
You have a university degree in health economics, health sciences or economics, are familiar with the international debate on social health protection and health financing in the context of development cooperation and have relevant professional experience. We also expect you to have experience in project and financial management as well as leadership skills. You process new information rapidly, work independently focusing on results, are reliable, and can integrate and work well in a team. You should have experience of working overseas in development cooperation, be fluent in English/German, and have a good working knowledge of either French or Spanish.
