We are looking for Broadcast Journalists for the BBC multimedia newsroom – primarily to work on BBC World News, which is the BBC's commercially funded international 24-hour news and information channel.
BBC World News is the BBC's commercially funded international 24-hour news and information channel. We are owned and operated by BBC World News Ltd, a member of the BBC’s commercial group of companies. We attract 71 million viewers a week, and reach over 300 million households and more than 1.7 million hotel rooms. We do this through broadcasting to more than 200 countries and territories worldwide.

Role

6 month attachments/fixed term contracts
Grade 07D

Producers are required to book guests, write briefs for presenters, write scripts, cut pictures, produce packages and lives with correspondents in London and on location, produce simple graphics on their desktop and commission complex graphics to enhance output. They will also be given training to text produce.

Requirements

Candidates must have substantial experience in journalism and must demonstrate a very good knowledge of both the UK and international agenda. They should come armed with story ideas and treatments. We have a diverse audience and welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds to reflect that. You'll need to demonstrate that you can work creatively and under pressure often with minimum supervision. You will be able to write clearly and accurately, and turn complex issues into engaging television.
