Description:
Global Financial Integrity (GFI), a Washington, DC-based non-profit organization, promotes national and multilateral policies, safeguards, and agreements aimed at curtailing the cross-border flow of illicit capital in order to enhance global development and security.

GFI seeks an Executive Assistant/Office Manager who is self-motivated, detail oriented, highly organized and flexible. The ideal candidate is confident; works well with colleagues; and is able to support two executives. Candidates must be proactive, have ability to multi-task, and be proficient in Microsoft Office software. At least two years experience supporting executive level management, experience planning events, and a bachelor's degree are required. Proficiency in French and/or Spanish is preferred but not required.

Duties include:

  • Produce and edit correspondence.
  • Organize and maintain files; monitor and log incoming mail and messages; and prepare initial drafts of responsive correspondence as appropriate.
  • Coordinate calendar and scheduling and make travel arrangements for Director and Managing Director.
  • Perform administrative duties including answering phones and ordering office supplies.
  • Plan meetings and occasional large-scale events.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise interns.
  • Compile and distribute weekly staff updates as well as monthly updates to the advisory board, assist the Managing Director in running weekly staff meetings.

Qualification:
  • An interest or background in international affairs and the global economy
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic; commitment to quality and excellence and a "can do" attitude are key characteristics.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and can operate with minimal supervision.
  • Proven organizational skills; detail oriented.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication abilities.
  • Strong technical background is a plus.
