Call for Nominations Willem F. Duisenberg Fellowship 2012/13

The Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study (NIAS) in Wassenaar invites nominations for the Willem F. Duisenberg Fellowship. This residential fellowship is awarded to scholars who have an outstanding record in the field of applied monetary economics, applied macroeconomics or public finance. He/she will carry out his/her research project as part of the NIAS academic community, give one public lecture and will be encouraged to meet with Dutch academics, policy makers and bankers to debate current issues.

Award
The Fellowship is for a period of three to five months and carries a monthly stipend of €10,000. The fellowship includes a private study, research facilities, a research assistant, accommodation and travel expenses.

Nominations
Department Chairs or Deans can nominate candidates. The following documents should be submitted electronically by the 1 August 2011 to Nomination@nias.knaw.nl .
  • A letter of recommendation,
  • Outline of the proposed research project (1-2 pages) in the field of applied monetary,
    economics, applied macroeconomics or public finance.
  • Short CV with a link to the nominee’s personal webpage.

Selection and Notification
Nominations will be reviewed by the Advisory Board, the Chair of the Willem F. Duisenberg Board and the Rector of NIAS to select the winning candidate. Applicants will be notified before 15 October 2011.
