Internal Communication Lead and Executive Assistant to Director Arts

Salary: £25,000 - £27,499 plus £3,300 LMA

English, Education and Society and the Arts form the three “businesses” of the British Council. This post works directly to the Director Arts, Graham Sheffield CBE, to ensure that he is able to function efficiently and effectively in a role that involves working with people around the world on a daily basis.

As well as providing support directly to Graham, the post holder will work with the Operations Director to develop and manage efficient methods of internal communication between staff working in the arts across the world. They will also ensure effective communication between the arts team and other parts of the organisation.

You will have: Significant experience of providing support to senior manager(s); Experience of planning and implementing internal communications in a global context; .The ability to write persuasive documents for differing audiences; and to multitask with a high level of attention to detail; wide experience of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience in using online collaboration tools such as Moodle or SharePoint; Knowledge of the infrastructure and government support for the arts in the UK;
