The EFTA Secretariat provides services to the EFTA States (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland). In Brussels this entails support in the management of the EEA Agreement, in particular in ongoing decision-making for the continuing evolution of the EEA Agreement. The Services, Capital, Persons and Programs Division (SCD) assists the EFTA Member States in the areas of free movement of services, capital and persons as well as in horizontal areas relevant to the four freedoms. Furthermore,
the SCD services the EEA EFTA States in relation to their participation in EU programs.

The successful incumbent shall assist representatives of the EEA EFTA States in the fulfilment of the commitments under the EEA Agreement in the area of environment and civil protection.

Applicants should have relevant professional experience in a national body, a national administration, an international organisation or in a relevant private sector. Further on, substantive knowledge of EU institutions and procedures as well as solid knowledge of the EEA Agreement is required.
