Communication, Information & Copyediting Intern ECPAT

Location: Bangkok, Thailand

Duration: 6 months

Reports to: Communications Officer

Overall Purpose of Job
The ECPAT International internship programme is designed to provide an invaluable opportunity for serious and qualified candidates who have an awareness of ECPAT's work in promoting child protection against commercial sexual exploitation. This is a truly hands-on position, in which the intern will make meaningful contributions by helping ECPAT effectively convey information to internal and external audiences by preparing and producing messages and publications that are crucial to our work. Interns will get a real opportunity to gain key knowledge and experience, and will be expected to dutifully carry out the tasks assigned to them under the responsibility of the designated supervisor(s).

Primary Tasks

1. Copyediting and proofreading ECPAT publications and newsletters.
2. Updating social media content, including Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
3. Developing content for the ECPAT website.
4. Various administrative tasks as needed, including filing reference materials, conducing mailing, updating directories and databases
5. Assist with information research for ECPAT projects and communications, etc.
6. Collaborate and contribute to the general work of ECPAT as a member of its team
Qualifications
• Passion and interest in social media and online communities.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe In-design, Illustrator, Photoshop and Wordpress would be an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Native English speaker (or equivalent).
• Flexibility and the ability to work under tight deadlines and in a multicultural international environment will be a plus.
• Fluency in Spanish and/or French is a plus.

A modest stipend is offered to assist interns during the duration of their assignment with ECPAT. Only interns who are not sponsored by other organizations or institutions are eligible to receive a stipend. All other costs related to the internship, i.e. travel, passport, visa and living costs in Bangkok, are to be borne by the intern or his/her sponsoring institution or organisation.
