The Hydrocarbons portfolio within Utilities division incorporates all fuel, lubrication and waste assets across the Pilbara sites, namely; fuel storage terminals, fuel wharf fuel delivery point storage, rail and HME refuelling points, lubrication storage, lubrication refuelling points, waste oil infrastructure, oily water separators, land farms and bio-farms.
Reporting to the Hydrocarbon Principal Advisor, the primary purpose of this Perth based role is to provide, develop and continuously improve hydrocarbon supply, storage, management and project delivery, in addition to providing operational and maintenance support to Rio Tinto's stakeholders.
The key accountabilities of the role include but are not limited to:
  • Maintaining effective internal and external key stakeholder/customer relationships (particular with mine operations, rail operations and coastal operations)
  • Providing high value, low cost, fuel management and reconciliation service across all RTIO sites using internal and external (contractor) resources.
  • Project management of supply and infrastructure related projects
  • Compliance with safety management plans and promoting safety awareness and safe work
  • Utilize technical knowledge of hydrocarbons to identify improvement opportunities and deliver value through the implementation of improvement projects.
  • Ensure contractor compliance with RTIO's Contractor Management System (CMS)
To be considered for this position, you will have Hydrocarbon or petro-chemical experience, with a background in engineering, maintenance or project management. You will possess strong communication skills with emphasis in managing and developing good working relationships with internal stakeholders,customers and engineering service providers.
