IT Technical Support Representative Transparency International (TI)

Transparency International (TI) is the global civil society organisation leading the fight against corruption. Through more than 90 chapters worldwide and an international secretariat in Berlin, Germany, TI raises awareness of the damaging effects of corruption and works with partners in government, business and civil society to develop and implement effective measures to tackle it.

Main function:

To maintain the IT infrastructure and support user help requests

Starting date:

1 June 2012

Duration:

limited for 2 years with the possibility of extension

Responsibilities:

  • User support
  • User training
  • Maintenance of TI-S desktop applications and hardware (workstations, printers)
  • Maintenance of TI’s network
  • Maintenance of the telephone system

Knowledge, experience and skills:

Required

  • Customer service orientation
  • A degree in the area of IT user support or similar background
  • Proven experience (min. 1 year) in IT user tech support
  • Experience with the following products used in the IT infrastructure:
  • MS Windows 7 and Windows XP
  • MS Office Professional 2003 and 2010
  • Knowledge of network technologies (TCPIP, Ethernet)
  • Good command of spoken English. German would be an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience of working as part of a close-knit team
  • Self-motivated with the ability to interact efficiently with team members and colleagues

Preferred

  • International working experience
  • Fluency in European languages
  • A background in non-profit or NGO environments
  • A proven commitment to social justice and the fight against corruption

TI Secretariat reserves the right to appoint to another staff level subject to education and qualifications.
