Local American Security Escort

The U.S. Embassy in Stockholm is seeking an individual for the position of Local American Security Escort in the Facility Section.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION

Employee will escort contract workers working at the Chancery and Embassy residences. When not assigned Escorting duties the incumbent will be expected to assist the Facility maintenance Staff in the performance of routine Maintenance duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.

a. Education:
High school diploma

b. Prior work experience:
At least one year of prior work experience in an office, management or security related position.

c. Language proficiency:
Level 3 (Working Knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required.

d. Job Knowledge:
Thorough knowledge of regulations governing control and protection of classified material set out in 12 FAM, as well as post-specific security access procedures; the proper use of security-related equiptment (radio, destruction, etc); familiar with the general layout of mission grounds and facilities.

e. Skills and abilities:
Basic keyboard skills and computer literacy. Must be observant, flexible and service oriented. Duties include prolonged periods of standing/walking and somewhat physically demaning activities to include climbing, working in cramped spaces at times working in inclement weather.

SELECTION PROCESS

When fully qualified, US Citizen Eligible Family Members (USEFMs) and US Veterans are given preference. Therefore, it is essential that the candidate specifically address the required qualifications above in the application.
