Secretary General VDMA

Embedded in the VDMA team in Brussels you will be responsible for the management and the organization of all CECIP activities. This includes lobbying on EU related topics relevant for the sector, managing industry groups and take care of the internal and external communication.

Your Profile:

• University degree
• Experience in working with EU institutions
• Ability to work on and understand EU technical legislation
• Self-starter, able to work independently
• Excellent knowledge of English - knowledge of German would be an asset
• Excellent organizational skills

We offer an interesting, challenging and varied position in a motivated international team. The part-time position (50%) is based in Brussels.

VDMA is one of the leading industry associations in Europe with headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany, and a strong presence in Brussels. CECIP is the European association for the weighing instruments association.

VDMA and CECIP share together with other associations of the mechanical engineering industry premises and closely cooperate on various European issues. With a team of 12 highly motivated staff members we represent the interests of the sector towards the European Union and organise association work.
