SALARY: £35,800 - 42,117p.a

CONTRACT: 1 permanent post, 1 fixed term contract – 12 months

As an organisation funded by institutional donors (including the Government) and public donation, the wider picture for public and personal finances significantly impacts upon us and the need for greater internal efficiency is a priority.
As HR Business Partner you will be part of a small team engaged in finding ways to meet organisational challenges and to support ActionAid UK’s staff and managers through them.
You will have specific responsibilities for providing strategic advice to managers and coaching them in people management, developing and updating HR policies, managing and improving recruitment and selection, developing and supervising our corporate learning and development programme, overseeing the expansion and development of AA UK’s volunteer programme and managing the Volunteer Programme Coordinator as well as managing the relationship with our outsourcing company and other suppliers.
You must be educated to degree level, be a Chartered Member of CIPD and able to demonstrate experience in a generalist HR role coupled with expertise in organisational change projects, employee relations, policy development as well as the ability to provide employment law advice.
A pro-active approach to business partnering and ability to coach managers in taking responsibility for people management in the organisation is essential, as is the ability to build successful working relations and manage suppliers to provide value for money.
