In this role, you will ensure compliance with BHP Billiton’s commitment to Zero Harm, which will include demonstrating a record of uncompromised values for Sustainability, Integrity, Respect, Performance, Simplicity and Accountability.


You will function within a team of Automation Engineers and ensure the adherence to safe execution of all work activities. A key focus area will be to provide specialised technical support and expertise within the production sub-functions. As an Automation Engineer, you will also participate in promoting health, safety, environment, quality and housekeeping standards within your department.

Serious contenders will have a National Diploma or BSc/BTech degree in Electrical Engineering Light Current or Process Control or equivalent with 3-5 years’ industrial plant experience. Programming on Rockwell Products, Wonderware Suite of Products, Industrial Network knowledge, as well as control and instrumentation experience will be advantageous.
