EC Framework Project Coordinator Cardno Emerging Markets

Cardno Emerging Markets (UK) Ltd is currently seeking applications for the position of Framework Project Coordinator based in our Thame (Oxford) office in the United Kingdom. The Coordinator will work on requests and contracts relating to FWC Beneficiaries Lot 10 Trade, Standards and Private Sector (2009-2013), FWC Commission Lot 1 Studies and Technical Assistance (2011-2015) and DFID Framework Agreements.

An important part of the Cardno Emerging Markets’ business is the delivery of services under framework contracts (equivalent to period contracts or indefinite quantity contracts). These currently include:

  • EuropeAid framework contract Beneficiaries Lot 1 Rural Development (2009-2013);
  • EuropeAid framework contract Beneficiaries Lot 7 Governance and Home Affairs (2009-2013);
  • EuropeAid framework contract Beneficiaries Lot 10 Trade, Standards and Private Sector (2009-2013);
  • EuropeAid framework contract Commission Lot 1 Studies and Technical Assistance (2011-2015);
  • DFID Fragile and Conflict Affected States Framework Agreement;
  • DFID Governance and Security Framework Agreement.

Cardno Emerging Markets (UK) Ltd is also presently tendering for the DFID Global Evaluation Framework Agreement and the DFID Wealth Creation Framework Agreement.

The company is seeking to appoint a Framework Project Coordinator to widen the professional capacity within the Framework Team. The work is mainly office based (some international travel will be required).

We require somebody who can bring:

  • A passion for international development, and a willingness to learn about a wide variety of sectors and geographies: it is expected that the candidate will have worked in international development for at least five years;
  • Proven planning and organisation skills: the person will need to manage a dynamic flow of framework requests;
  • Good human resource and communication skills which will support relationships with our consortium partners and key experts;
  • Commitment to quality assurance in the services delivered and outputs achieved.

Ideally the person will also have:

  • A Masters degree in a subject relevant to international development;
  • At least 3 years prior experience winning and successfully implementing and managing international development projects;
  • Previous experience with EC framework contracts;
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in French.

The position is only open to EU/European Economic Area citizens or persons with an existing entitlement to work in the UK.
