For the Ageas Investor Relations department, based in Brussels, we are in search of an Investor Relations Officer.
Your function
Investor Relations (IR) is a strategic management responsibility that integrates finance, communication and marketing and enables effective two-way communication between a company, the financial community, and other interested parties, which should ultimately contribute to a company's share price achieving fair valuation.
Your function is considered as the entry point of the Investor Relations Department and should trough the variety of tasks and projects enable you to acquire a number of professional as well as an in-depth knowledge on the company itself.
Your function within within the Investor Relations:
  • You basically ensure a smooth relationship with our shareholders both institutional as well as retail
  • You provide them rapidly, proactively and accurately with all information needed in order to help them to better understand the dynamics of our company
  • You gain an in-depth knowledge of Ageas and its financials (P&L and balance sheet) and follow the latest developments of Ageas’ competitors and the financial markets as a whole
  • You are actively involved in the preparation of the quarterly earnings publications such as the earnings press-releases, quarterly and (corporate) presentations and the annual report
  • You organize and potentially (co-)host roadshows, conferences and investor days oriented to institutional and retail investors in various countries/cities worldwide
  • You work with specific software tools from Thomson Reuters and Bloomberg
  • You inform and provide feedback to senior management on important topics (as IR is often the first window to the market)
Your profile
  • You have an economic or finance related bachelor or master degree
  • You are passionate about financial markets and you are interested to learn about Ageas and the insurance sector
  • You are able to work discretely and with confidential (price) sensitive information
  • You like to work in a dynamic team
  • You are keen to learn and to work with financial data
  • You are flexible and are able to manage short term urgencies
  • You easily manage relationships and you have excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • You have a sense for independent work and you are well organized and entrepreneurial
  • You have an excellent knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel and you are knowledgeable about new communication media tool
  • You are open to work with programs as Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters
  • You have a very good knowledge of English and a knowledge of Dutch and French
