Sales Team Manager Europe

The sales department aims to facilitate and increase the demand for responsibly produced commodities and support partners (retailers, manufacturers and traders) in their sustainability goals. The Sales Team Manager Europe leads overall operational sales management in Europe, creating the conditions and motivation for the account managers to grow and excel. Together with de commercial director and your team you develop the sales strategy and year plan. With your strong commercial eye you analyze the market and immediately recognize sales opportunities.

You coordinate information flow with accounts and between account managers and Amsterdam departments. Additionally you coordinate with and via the Commercial Director information flow of all UTZ Amsterdam departments to other regions. You are a lead member of internal project groups which require sales input. You will also manage some of your own key accounts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspiring and coaching team manager for European account managers
  • Support account managers in increasing joint commitment with key clients and markets
  • Development and execution of the European sales strategy and year plan.
  • Implementation of a solid sales process embedded in the organization for different products.
  • Manage and coordinate internal sales organization and processes
  • Support account managers is defining goals with their accounts

The Sales Team Manager Europe reports to the Commercial Director.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • University level (Master) degree
  • 7- 15 years working experience. Work experience in FMCG (coffee, tea, cocoa) is a pré
  • Highly experienced in sales management preferably in a regional or global environment
  • Proven track record of project management experience and team leadership
  • Swiftly gains trust and respect of experienced account managers
  • A heavy weight who can get things done in a rapidly changing and highly demanding environment
  • Entrepreneurial and commercial, but comfortable in a non-profit setting
  • Fluency in English and one other language, preferably French, German or Portuguese

Employment is based upon 36-40 hours/week. The position is based in Amsterdam and implies some travel in Europe. We can only consider candidates who have a work & residency permit for the Netherlands/EU.
