Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

SALARY: £43,239 to £46,491pa pro rata
LOCATION: London EC1R 0BJ

CONTRACT: Fixed term contract – 12months

As Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist we will look to you to strengthen organisational performance and champion a culture of accountability to ensure we continue to work efficiently at tackling whatever is keeping poor people trapped in poverty.

As a Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist you will work with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement strategy and policies for monitoring organisational performance and evaluating our impact.

You will drive the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems as well as take responsibility for gathering and communicating performance data to enable senior level decision making.

Key will be your ability to strengthen our capacity and capability in the use of monitoring and evaluation systems to achieve organisational objectives. In addition you will help develop monitoring and evaluation expertise as well as an effective monitoring and evaluation framework within ActionAid International.

You will also work closely with teams in ActionAid UK and with overseas ActionAid members to strengthen monitoring and evaluation systems and processes, which will help with programme delivery as well as proposal development and grant management.

Experienced in a similar role you will have a good understanding of monitoring and evaluation policies, systems, methods and approaches, ideally gained in an international development or NGO environment.

Comfortable providing leadership, support and guidance on monitoring and evaluation across organisations and/or development programmes/projects you have the ability to design and manage evaluation policies, systems, tools and processes.

An effective communicator you are good at influencing others and driving change.
