Volunteer Accountant and Administrator Zambian Carnivore Programme

The Zambian Carnivore Programme (ZCP) seeks a qualified and experienced accountant who is interested in working with a conservation programme in rural Zambia. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with non-profit accounting, including management of budget lines and grants. The candidate should also have experience with non-profit management in Africa and a general interest in conservation.

Job Description	The candidate should have: - Proficiency in Quickbooks - 3-5 years experience in non-profit accounting - 3-5 years experience with administrative work - Experience with capacity building and training - An interest in African conservation - Excellent time management skills - Excellent interpersonal and written skills - Patience with slow internet and sometimes unreliable communication - Ability to live and work in a remote bush environment - Familiarity with the logistics around rural non-profit programmes While voluntary, the ZCP Mfuwe site is located outside the South Luangwa National Park, and provides an opportunity to live and work in one of the most spectacular wildlife areas in southern Africa. After an initial trial period, the volunteer will be contracted for a one year to manage accounts and administration, with potential for involvement with the ZCP education programme. ZCP will also be open to terms of re-negotiation for the second year if both ZCP and the volunteer are happy for work to continue.
