As part of the Executive Management Team, you will be involved in shaping the strategic direction of the business for the longer term. Your knowledge and understanding of the regulatory framework within which Human Resource decisions are made is vital for this role, ie strong governance skills and innovation in implementing solutions that drive transformation through Employment Equity and skills initiatives.

Your ability to manage a large and complex team is a critical component and you will be required to demonstrate a track record of having managed teams.

To ensure success, you must have achieved the relevant and appropriate qualifications and experience with regard to: • A postgraduate degree in Human Resource Management/Social Sciences • Sound knowledge of the laboratory/pathology and related medical environment • Broad knowledge of and experience in employment laws • Demonstrable recent record of achievement of managing and providing HR services at senior level in a large, complex and unionised environment • The ability to lead and communicate on all levels. A minimum of 10 years’ HR experience in a similar role (of which 5 years should have been in a Senior Management role) would be advantageous.
