south African Aviation Authority Inspector: Airworthiness

The SACAA, a key player in the international arena, seeks to promote and maintain a safe and secure civil aviation environment in South Africa. To meet its mandate for regulating and overseeing the functioning of the industry in an efficient, cost-effective, sustainable and customer friendly manner, the SACAA seeks the following key individual:

Inspector: Airworthiness

This role evaluates, monitors and ensures compliance with airworthiness and aircraft maintenance standards, as well as issues recommendations towards processing or suspension of licences and certificates. Main outputs: • Site visits and inspections • Compile reports • Promote communication and safety • Propose new and revise current standards.

Requirements: • A Grade 12 • An Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence or equivalent • A relevant 3-year qualification (TETA) would be ideal • 5 years’ aviation technical and maintenance experience • A driver's licence • Planning, reporting and research skills • A proactive, professional approach • Safety consciousness.
