Barrick Gold of North America, Inc. seeks a Manager, Mine Closure Planning in Salt Lake City, Utah to develop, implement, and maintain environmental programs for Barrick’s operations and closure properties, focusing on closure planning and cost estimating. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field or equivalent and at least eight (8) years of engineering experience, including conducting project and construction management, implementing and managing the project cost control system, and performing cost estimation, tracking and forecasting activities. Two (2) of the eight (8) years of prior experience must include performing decommissioning, demolition and equipment disposal and developing standard practices for reclamation and closure planning, performing Quality Control sampling and testing, as well as utilizing technologies including MS Access, MS Word, Excel, MS Project, Power Point and Auto Cad, on behalf of a global mining company. Employer will accept two (2) years of undergraduate study and two (2) years of relevant work experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree.
