Project Coordinator, Food Security ACDI/VOCA Washington, DC, United States

Based in Washington, D.C., ACDI/VOCA is a nonprofit international development organization that delivers technical and management assistance in agribusiness, financial services, enterprise development, community development and food security to promote broad-based economic growth and vibrant civil societies. ACDI/VOCA currently has approximately 90 projects in 40 countries and total revenues of approximately $168 million.

We are seeking a D.C.-based Project Coordinator to provide technical, administrative, logistical, financial and programmatic backstopping to food security projects and programs overseas. Responsibilities are to provide support to overseas offices; review monthly field financial reports and budgets; fulfill procurement requests; ensure donor compliance and participate on proposal development teams. A bachelor’s degree in international development, agriculture, finance, economics, political science or other related field, plus a minimum of two years of professional experience in international development are required; a master’s degree is strongly preferred. Candidates must possess knowledge of international development, with strong statistical/analytical, written and verbal skills; and proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and the Internet as a research tool. French (verbal and written) language skills are highly desired. Knowledge of USAID and other donor programs is strongly preferred.
