PSI South Sudan seeks candidates for the position of Global Fund Project Manager. This individual will lead PSI’s Program Management Unit (PMU) which oversees the consolidated Round 7 and Round 10 Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM) malaria grants for South Sudan, including complimentary funding from the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). Together these programs represent a consortium of 9 NGOs as well as the National Malaria Control Program (NMCP), South Sudan. Activities include country-wide distribution of long lasting insecticide treated mosquito nets, capacity building of the NMCP including contributions to national surveys such as the Malaria Indicator Survey, and an integrated community case management of childhood illnesses (iCCM) program co-funded by CIDA. The Project Manager should have significant leadership, management and international development experience, a demonstrated track record in successfully managing large donor funded projects, a commitment to capacity building, and experience successfully implementing international health programs focusing on health systems strengthening and malaria prevention and treatment. This full-time position is based in Juba, South Sudan with approximately 15% travel within South Sudan. This position reports to the South Sudan Country Representative.

RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide overall oversight of the Global Fund and CIDA projects, including planning, budgeting and forecasting, implementation, reporting, and supervision of the PMU management team • Serve as the lead liaison between all partners, including but not limited to the National Malaria Control Program (NMCP), the Ministry of Health (MOH), partner NGOs, sub-recipients, the Local Fund Agent, and the Global Fund Secretariat • Monitor and ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of all project activities and partners to ensure quality of service provision and alignment of priorities, including sub-grant management, financial and programmatic oversight, administration and procurement, and regular on-site supervision visits • Serve as the focal point for engaging in policy dialogue with the MOH and donors on key issues relevant to service delivery in South Sudan, including participation on key national working groups • Lead quarterly work planning meetings with technical and implementing partners, including capacity building and technical assistance • Oversee the submission of high-quality periodic reporting to the Global Fund, CIDA and the South Sudan Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: • Masters degree (preferably in Business or Public Health) from a well-recognized institution • A minimum of 5 -7 years experience in private or public sector enterprises, including demonstrated success in leadership and management of large international development projects, • At least 2 years managing complex projects in a developing country, Africa experience preferred. • Exceptional managerial experience, preferably managing complex public health sector activities involving coordination with multiple stakeholders • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing relationships with donors and governments • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills • Familiarity with Global Fund processes and procedures preferred • Technical knowledge of health delivery systems in the public sector as well as solid understanding of malaria and child health related issues strongly preferred
