Working in the busy Commercial Director's office we are looking for someone to support in managing BA's Commercial Director's diary and travel. Whilst also assisting the team with administrative duties to ensure the office is managed well.

About the role
We are looking for someone to be part of the support team that provide efficient, effective office management for the Commercial Director ‘s office.
Reporting into the Commercial Directorate Support Manager you will be supporting them to organise and manage day-to-day activities for the Commercial Director, managing his diary and phone calls, and communicating yourself with external customers and contacts.
You will also provide administrative support to the Commercial Director’s office to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently, whilst getting to see all areas of the airline.

About The Day To Day

  • Provide administrative support to the Commercial Director’s office. Organise and support all regular and ad-hoc departmental meetings, attending to take minutes where required and managing meeting attendee availability
  • Provides general office support such as filing and archiving and the provision of stationery. Provide room booking and invoicing processes
  • Proactive management of diary activity for the Commercial Director to ensure his day runs smoothly
  • Meet and greet visitors
  • Formulate letters and presentations on the Director’s behalf – often to a minimal brief
  • Constant interaction with everyone up to the Commercial Leadership team and Board, and with the Chairman and CEO’s office. Externally, you can expect contact with VIP customers, the media and Partners and Director and CEO level, so the right social aptitude is as important as well-developed communication skills

About You

  • You’ll have excellent planning, organisational and PC skills, backed by proven experience of getting things done
  • Your ability to communicate across the company and outside at all levels is going to be crucial, as will your talent for prioritising, making decisions and building relationships
  • Resilience, commitment, drive and flexibility will be among your watchwords, and you’ll have a track record of anticipating requirements and working on your own initiative or as part of a team to achieve it
  • A proactive attitude is key as you will help ensure the Commercial Directorate has all he needs for his coming weeks at work. Therefore a track record of anticipating requirements and working on own initiative is needed
  • Beyond anything, you’ll be keen to contribute to the engine room of our global airline business
