Technical Associate (A/C & Refrigeration) ICRISAT

ICRISAT seeks applications from Indian nationals for Technical Associate (A/C & Refrigeration), to be based at Patancheru, Andhra Pradesh, India. This is a nationally recruited position.

ICRISAT is a non-profit, apolitical, international organization for science-based agricultural development. Established in 1972, it is an Alliance of centers of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), and supported by more than 48 governments, foundations, and development banks. To reduce poverty, enhance crop productivity and food security and to protect the environment, ICRISAT research focuses on farming systems and crop improvement, management and utilization of sorghum, pearl millet, pigeonpea, chickpea, and groundnut in the semi-arid tropics.

Responsibilities:

  • Operation, maintenance, break-down repairs of Central A/C system having Centrifugal Chillers and Vapour Absorption Chiller
  • Capable of understanding and analyzing problems of all types of A/C & refrigeration systems, Lab equipment, Kitchen equipment etc.
  • Implementation of PPM on Central A/C system, Split A/C, Window A/C Vehicle A/c, Lab Equipment, Incubators, Compressors, Dehumidifier, Humidifier, ETAC system etc.
  • Execution of operations, maintenance and repairs as per schedule and recording for MIS
  • Should have experience in maintenance and repairs of Deep Freezers and Seed stores
  • Job planning assessment and procurement of material and record necessary information for billing.
  • Be responsible for safety, quality and performance as per standard

Competencies:

  • Should be able to speak (Telugu, Hindi, and English) & read / write simple English.
  • Should be a good team player and adaptable to work in multicultural team.
  • Should stay at site for attending to emergencies after office hours and holidays.

Requirements:

  • ITI in Air-conditioning & Refrigeration with 5-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Age: Below 40 years
  • Possessing a valid RTA, Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license is preferable

General:
The position is for three years, renewable based on the performance of the incumbent and the Institute's continuing need for the position. An attractive compensation is offered for the right candidate.
